Everett City 10, Portland Blacktails 7

Cristiano Whitaker scored four times for Everett City en route to a 10-7 road win against the Portland Blacktails on Saturday afternoon. Javier Milian also scored four goals for Portland in the loss.

Whitaker opened the scoring with two goals in the first quarter, striking first in the 8th minute and then again with less than a minute remaining and Everett took a 3-0 lead after the first 15 minutes. Portland got on the board when Noe Favila made it 3-1 early in the second quarter before Manuel Segura restored Everett’s three goal lead a minute later. a lead that would hold come halftime with Everett up 6-3.

Everett scored three times in the third quarter including Whitaker’s fourth goal to take a 9-4 lead into the final period. Portland scored three goals of their own in the fourth, but their comeback fell short in the 10-7 loss.

Tacoma Stars Reserves 8, Snohomish County 2

Isidro Prado-Huerta scored five goals and the Tacoma Stars Reserves defensive dominance continued in an 8-2 win over Snohomish County on Saturday night.

Prado-Huerta scored the first three goals of the night, striking twice in the opening frame and then again to open the second quarter en route to a 4-0 halftime lead. AJ Nitzel opened up the second half with a pair of goals and Prado-Huerta added one more to make it 7-0 after three.

Snohomish finally got on the board with 4:01 left to play on Elliot Misic’s goal and then added a second 10 seconds later, but Prado-Huerta finished things off and the Stars Reserves remained unbeaten with the 8-2 win.

Oly Town Artesians 6, Bellingham United 6

Seeking their first ever point in Bellingham, Jason Fairhurst scored three goals for the Oly Town Artesians, but Danny Fazio’s fourth quarter hat trick pulled Bellingham United level to salvage a 6-6 draw.

The Artesians opened the game with three goals including two of Fairhurst’s three. Bellingham answered with a goal by Spencer Wolfe at the 7:16 mark before Oly picked up their fourth of the quarter with less than 10 seconds left and the first 15 minutes ended with Oly Town up 4-1.

The Bellingham defense would then clamp down, allowing just two more goals the rest of the way, while the offense slowly chipped away at the lead. The two teams went into the fourth quarter with Oly Town up 5-3 and Fairhurst’s third of the game made it 6-3 early in the fourth, but a late three goal rally by Bellingham capped off by Fazio’s equalizer with two minutes left gave each team a point with a 6-6 final.
