The third full week (fourth overall) of Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) action is complete and the table is a logjam with four clubs on six points at the top. Bellingham United continued their teamwork theme by getting ten different scorers in their 11-2 win at Sporting Everett. The Snohomish Skyhawks got their first win with a 4-2 conquest of Oly Town. In Vancouver the Victory fell to the Tacoma Stars Reserves 8-3.

Bellingham United-11 Sporting Everett-2
EVERETT, WA— The Hammers of Bellingham (2-1-0) were in a tight contest with just a 2-1 lead at halftime Saturday night at the Everett Sports Arena against Sporting Everett FC (2-2-0.) Then they threw the hammer down in a second-half onslaught of 9 goals.

In BUFC’s opening win of the season they had 7 different goal scorers in a 9-goal output. The latest win was a step beyond, with 10 different players scoring the 11 goals.

The Hammers broke the match open with 3 goals in the third quarter. Then they tacked on 6 more in the 4th. Richard Henderson scored twice for Bellingham, giving him 4 goals on the season.

VANCOUVER, WA— The Tacoma Stars Reserves (2-1-0) broke away in the second half for the second straight week and secured a road win at Clark County Indoor Sports over Vancouver Victory (0-3-0.)

Like last week, much of the boost for Tacoma was provided by Nate Ford. He scored 3 goals and notches 2 assists as the Reserves bolted out and away from what had be a 3-3 tie in the third quarter.
The first-year Victory had been keeping it close. It was 2-2 at halftime and 4-3 Tacoma after three. Vancouver got even at 3-3 when Gee Bedoyan scored in the third quarter. Then Tacoma grabbed it back seconds later on a strike from Kyle Danielson. The Reserves blanked the homeside 4-0 in the fourth quarter.

Snohomish Skyhawks-4 Oly Town Artesians-2
SNOHOMISH, WA— The Snohomish Skyhawks (1-1-0) got their first WISL win ever as they clamped down on Oly Town (1-2-0) at the Snohomish Soccer Dome. The Skyhawks named goalkeeper Seth Hespe as their Man of the Match. “It was a total team effort and it’s an awesome to see the hardwork paying off and that we are making strides,” Head Coach Tao Shen said after the match.

There were plenty of shots but only six goals on the night. A 2-1 halftime lead for the Skyhawks remained as such going into the final quarter. Then the home side created some breathing room and stretched their lead out to 4-1 before Oly Town answeredto produce the final scoreline.
