Bellingham United 12, Portland Blacktails 2

Bellingham United wrapped up the Western Indoor Soccer League regular season with a 12-2 win over the Portland Blacktails at the Bellingham Sportsplex on Saturday night.

Chasing the top goal scorers crown this season, Kevin Flavin scored four goals for the Hammers but fell one off the lead because of Richard Henderson’s hat track. Flavin finished the season with 18 goals while Henderson won the Golden Boot with 19. Uriel Herrera added two goals and Bellingham wrapped up the regular season 7-2-1 and will host the Oly Town Artesians in the WISL semis next Saturday at 7:30.

Adrian Rubio scored his 11th goal of the season in the loss and Portland finished their first WISL season at 3-6-1 and will travel to the ShoWare Center in Kent to face the Tacoma Stars Reserves in the semifinals next Saturday at 3:30.
