Isidro Prado-Huerta (Tacoma Stars Reserves) – The Tacoma Stars Reserves made the long trek down to Portland on Saturday night to face the Blacktails in the first WISL game played in Oregon and Isidro Prado-Huerta came back to Washington with six goals (one off of Chris Jepson’s single game record of seven) and two assists in Tacoma’s 11-6 win. A long time Stars Reserves player, Prado-Huerta comes into the season fit and healthy and playing his best soccer, according to coach Adam Becker, and he had his best game of his career and topping his previous season total in just the single game.

Andrew Escalante (Snohomish County) – In Snohomish County’s first Western Indoor Soccer League game, veteran Andrew Escalante helped the club to their first win with a 7-4 victory over the Oly Town Artesians. Escalante, who debuted with the Arlington Aviators in the first season of the WISL, played with Sporting Everett and the Snohomish Skyhawks before settling in with the club he helped found, SnoCo FC, scored once and helped kill five of the seven Oly Town power plays en route to the Steelheads first league win. A selfless defender who lays it all out blocked numerous shots for SnoCo who look to his veteran leadership on a mixed roster of new players and WISL veterans.
