Alec Zimmerman – Oly Town Artesians – The Oly Town Artesians have already doubled the amount of wins they posted over the past two seasons thanks in part to the emergence of Alec Zimmerman, who scored three goals on Saturday night to lead his squad to a 9-6 win over Tacoma Narrows. Zimmerman, an Olympia native and Capital High School grad, has scored six times in his first three indoor games and the Artesians have a 2-1-0 record after going winless last season.

Cole Weaver – Oly-Pen Force – With the collegiate soccer season finally over, the Oly-Pen Force welcomed back some reinforcements to the squad that allowed 26 goals in their last game before the Thanksgiving break. One of those reinforcements is Pacific Lutheran goalkeeper Cole Weaver, who made 24 saves and held the Snohomish Skyhawks to six goals in the Force’s 9-6 win on Saturday night. Weaver’s saves included four one-on-one saves and then two saves against former teammate Kevin Flavin in a third quarter that swung the tide of the contest the Force’s way.
