Bellingham United 13, Tacoma Narrows 4

The Hammers built a 6-0 lead midway through the second quarter and never looked back in their 13-4 win over Tacoma Narrows FC on Saturday night at the Bellingham Sportsplex.

Nick Cashmere and Richard Henderson each registered a hat trick, and Eleazar Galvan, Connor Moe and Uriel Herrera each scored twice. Bellingham held an 8-2 lead at the half and built a 12-2 lead before Travis Homestead scored twice late in the game for Narrows. AJ Nitzel and Alex Vogt scored Tacoma’s two first half goals.

Former Narrows keeper, Nate Salveson, got the surprise start and win in goal for the Hammers.

Both teams now get next weekend off before resuming their schedule in week two. Bellingham will face the Oly-Pen Force at home while Narrows will face another tough test when they host the Grit City Derby against the Tacoma Stars Reserves.

Bellingham United goals: Nick Cashmere (3), Richard Henderson (3), Eleazar Galvan (2), Uriel Herrera (2), Connor Moe (2), Spencer Wolfe
Tacoma Narrows goals: Travis Homestead (2), AJ Nitzel, Alex Vogt
