TACOMA, Wash. – The Western Indoor Soccer League’s fifth season will kick off on Friday, November 9th in Tacoma with a match between the Tacoma Stars Reserves and the Olympic Peninsula Force, the first of 30 elite adult amateur indoor soccer games running from November to February in Bellingham, Bremerton, Olympia, Snohomish and Tacoma.
Three-time WISL champions Bellingham United kick off their title defense on Saturday, November 17th when they host their northern rival, the Snohomish Skyhawks. The first rematch of the 2017-2018 championship game is on December 22nd when the Hammers travel to Tacoma to take on the Stars Reserves.
Week one continues with the Oly Town Artesians home opener and the first league game for Tacoma Narrows FC on November 17th at The Pavilion at The Evergreen State College in Olympia. The Artesians play three of their first four games at home and then close the season with two straight home games.
The Oly-Pen Force will get a tough test in their home opener on Saturday, December 1st when Bellingham United visits the Oly-Pen Sports Center. The Force play the league opener on November 9th at the Stars Reserves and will get a return visit from their crossbridge rivals on January 19th.
The Snohomish Skyhawks play their first three games on the road before their home opener on December 15th against the Force. They will play three of their last five games at the Soccer Dome in Snohomish wrapping up with a visit on February 2nd by the Stars Reserves.
Tacoma will host two WISL teams this season and the Tacoma Soccer Center will be in use in at least seven of the ten weeks of the regular season. Tacoma Narrows FC and the Tacoma Stars Reserves will face each other twice, with one game date still TBD and the other scheduled for January 12th.
There are two doubleheaders scheduled for the Soccer Center during the season. The first is on December 8th when the Stars Reserves host Snohomish at 6:00 and Narrows FC follows them against the Force at 8:00. Then on January 5th, the Artesians face the Stars Reserves in game one and Narrows FC battles Bellingham in the second tilt.

Next up for Western Indoor Soccer League teams is the annual WISL Preseason Tournament hosted by the Oly-Pen Force on Saturday, November 3rd. All six sides will enter teams in the tournament in a tune-up for the regular season featuring a mix of first team players and trialists. Game times will be posted the week before the tournament.
