(Club release) We are excited to announce that Skyhawks alum Vasco Rubio has been named the Head Coach of the Snohomish Skyhawks going into the 2018-2019 Western Indoor Soccer League season.

Rubio, who was raised in Edmonds and now calls Snohomish home, played at Seattle Pacific University, was a 1st team All-American and played in a National Championship. He won a U23 National Championship for the Olympic Development team, played 3 years in the CISL with the Sacramento Knights and Seattle Sea Dogs playing against greats like Tatu and Preki.

He played for the Skyhawks in the first two years of the franchise and also led the Women’s Skyhawks team to a National Championship. After his playing days, he coached the Skyhawks for eight years.

“Making a difference in your players lives,” says Rubio when asked about his favorite part of coaching. “Teaching them not only soccer but life.”
