Cashmere repeats as WISL Player of Week on offense; Skyhawks goalkeepers shine

TACOMA, WA— The Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) today announces that Nick Cashmere of Bellingham United (Offense) and goalkeepers Trevor Davoren and Seth Hespe of the Snohomish Skyhawks (Defense) are the WISL Players of the Week for matches played December 2, 2017.

bufc-clearNick Cashmere repeats as Offensive Player of the Week in the WISL thanks to his 3 goal, 2 assist performance in BUFC’s 9-7 comeback win over the Tacoma Stars Reserves on December 2 at the Bellingham Sportsplex.

Last week it was 3 goals and 1 assist. This time Cashmere led a 4th quarter rally, scoring the eventual winner while setting up another earlier strike in the period.

Now Cashmere and Company will travel to Snohomish for a December 9 challenge against the Skyhawks, who claim the Defender(s) of the Week honors.

Trevor Davoren & Seth Hespe (Defense) Snohomish Skyhawks

skyhawksThe Snohomish Skyhawks led the Oly Town Artesians 6-0 at halftime. Trevor Davoren was in goal for the blanking. In the second half the Skyhawks went with Seth Hespe, their longtime stopper. The Artesians ramped up their offense and Hespe was called on to keep them at bay. Oly Town did get four back in a 10-4 loss but Hespe kept a number of other shots out as the home side won.
