Force wallop Stars; Skyhawks rally to tie Everett

The race to the WISL playoffs keeps tightening as we get closer to the end of the regular season on February 11th. January 21 results only served to muddy the waters. Bellingham is atop the table after a 9-8 win over 3rd-place Oly Town.

The Olympic Force jump up to second with a big win over the Tacoma Stars Reserves. The Snohomish County pair of Skyhawks and Sporting Everett tied their match, and are tied in the standings.

Sporting Everett awarded a 1-0 forfeit win over Tacoma Stars Reserves due to Tacoma using an ineligible player 1-14-17.

Tye Hastings scored with 30 seconds left in the match as the Snohomish Skyhawks rallied to get a point with rivals Sporting Everett FC. The Skyhawks trailed 5-3 at the Snohomish SoccerDome going into the 4th quarter.

Snohomish goals: Tye Hastings (2), Aaron Burns, Jay Hardy, JC Henson.

Everett goals: Lucas Dourado, Atty Taylor, Corey Hendrickson, Danny Graham, Michael Sitzman.

Olympic Force-12 Tacoma Stars Reserves-3

Brodie Steigerwald scored a hat trick as the Force beat the Stars 12-3 at the Olympic Sports Center. The win moves Olympic up to second in the table while it drops the Stars to last.

Olympic goals: Brodie Steigerwald (3), Gustavo Bermudez (2), Kyle Johnson, Corey Matthews, Leo Potts, David Meherg, Francisco Cisneros, Enrique Hidalgo, own goal.

Tacoma goals: Eddie Na, Brandon Kelley, Eli Gordley.
