It’s really true in the case of the 2016-17 Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) season. Anyone can win it.
The six-club league battles over 10 regular season matches to decide 4 playoff spots. Then the semis and Final are on back-to-back weekends in late February.
You’d have to think that the current top 4 clubs are favorites to stay there and make the playoffs, which would leave the 2 Snohomish County clubs on the outside looking in. But wait! The Skyhawks have only played 4 matches…and Sporting Everett has been close each time out and does have a big win over the Olympic Force.
Bellingham United’s place at the top seems in peril. The Hammers have played 5 matches. The 3 sides behind them have all played just 4, and are 2 or 3 points from catching the defending champs.
Still, it’s all about finishing at least 1 or 2…
