You can’t ask for much more of a show than the Olympic Force and Bellingham United put on last Saturday. The 10-9 final was a display of what the WISL can be at its best.
It was also quite a match down in Olympia as the Artesians outlasted Sporting Everett 8-6.
Not to be outdone, the Tacoma Stars Reserves and Snohomish Skyhawks kept it close – real close – as they battled to an eventual 4-4 tie.

BREMERTON, WA— The Olympic Force (2-2-0) beat the defending WISL Champion Bellingham United Hammers (3-2-0) in a 19-goal affair at the Olympic Sports Center on Saturday night.
The Hammers led 4-2 at halftime before the wild west shootout of a second half. It was a tight thriller at 5-5 going into the fourth quarter when the shots started flying. The Force outscored BUFC 5-4 in the last period to notch the win.
Leading the way with 2 goals and 3 assists for Olympic was Enrique Hidalgo. David Meherg and Jesus Sanchez also scored 2 goals each for the Force. Bellingham had a trio of braces as Richard Henderson, Chris Jepson and Oscar Jimenez each got 2 for the Hammers.

Tacoma Stars Reserves-4 Snohomish Skyhawks-4
TACOMA, WA— The Tacoma Stars Reserves (2-1-1) found themselves down 3-0 in the second quarter on Saturday night at the Tacoma Soccer Center but turned it around and eventually ended level at 4-4 with the Snohomish Skyhawks (1-2-1.)
The Stars were helped along by a Skyhawks own goal. Tacoma was down 3-1 at the half but got two back to make it a 3-3 contest going into the last frame.
Brendan Rosgen notched a brace for the Skyhawks.

Oly Town Artesians-8 Sporting Everett-6
OLYMPIA, WA—Willie Spurr scored three goals in the second half and the Oly Town Artesians (2-1-1) killed two key power plays in the fourth quarter to hold on for an 8-6 win over Sporting Everett (1-2-1) on a chilly pre-Christmas Saturday night at The Pavilion.
