BREMERTON, WA— The Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) held its annual pre-season tournament on Saturday October 29 at Olympic Sports Center in Bremerton. The end of six hours of soccer saw the Olympic Force rally from a 3-0 halftime deficit to edge Bellingham United 4-3 in the tournament finale. The Force also won the tournament last season when Bellingham hosted.

The field for the tournament was reset at six clubs fielding a combined 8 squads after Everett United pulled out of the competition. Sporting Everett and the Olympic Force entered two squads each while the Tacoma Stars Reserves, Oly Town Artesians, Snohomish Skyhawks and Bellingham United represented as single entries.
The final scores from the tournament, which featured matches of two 15-minute halves with the clock continually running, were:

Tacoma Stars Reserves played three matches and then left the tournament to support their professional men’s side. Olympic Force and Bellingham United made the final based on points and total goals.
In the finale the Hammers dominated play through the first half, coasting to a 3-0 lead. The homestanding Force rallied with two quick goals around the ten-minute mark of the second half. They drew level with 7 minutes to go and then scored the winner with just under five minutes left to play.
The WISL is expected to announce the 2016-17 schedule in the coming week.
