TACOMA, WA—(Stars release) The Tacoma Stars of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) would like to continue the development process and relationship with the Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) to build a better base of local players at the professional Level and to push the level of our region’s pro team.
“We see value in networking with all of the local development and high level leagues to build the best team we can and would like to extend this invitation to our open trials,” says John Crouch, Stars VP of Business Development. “It is very important to our organization and especially to our GM and Head Coach Darren Sawatzky that we build locally.”
Stars General Manager and Head Coach Darren Sawatzky (firstname.lastname@example.org) says, “As part of our developmental pyramid with teams, we run the Tacoma Stars professional indoor soccer team in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) from September through April. We also run the Tacoma Stars Reserves in the Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) during this time. The MASL team is a full professional team and we pay players to play. The WISL team is our reserve team and plays in the local amateur league with players working to get into the MASL team.”
The Stars are hosting tryouts on September 17th and 18th at the Tacoma Soccer Center. If you are interested in trying out, the link to register can be found here.
